Can’t Find The Right Words?

I have good news for you…

You already have the words you need.

They’re in there, flying around your head, all over the place.

You just have to grab them.

I’ll help you grab them.

Big Brands. Small Brands.
One Hotel. Fifty Hotels.

The challenge is always the same: finding the right words.

Over 20+ years, I've worked with agencies and hotels, managed writer teams, and delivered content for six-month projects spanning 50+ hotels.

I've also written for law firms, medical device companies, pet resorts, stem cell researchers, architects, and even a luxury port-a-potty company.

Portfolio

Serena Hotels & Resorts

The Verb Hotel Boston

SEO Copywriting • Website Copy • Blog Articles • Email Campaigns • White Papers

35-property resort portfolio in Africa. 700+ pages.

Finding the right words about a place as magnificent as Africa is tough. There are so many.

It was a demanding client with many rewrites but remains one of my favorite projects.

Royal Restrooms

Website copy for a luxury port-a-potty company.

Ever been in a port-a-john so nasty you wonder, “Can’t anyone do better?”

These guys do. Their bathrooms are nicer than my house.

The Law Offices of Nicholas A. Parr

Blogging engagement for a Baltimore law firm.

I write four monthly articles for a personal injury attorney, covering topical legal issues and recent cases of interest.

I don’t charge him, just in case I ever need a good lawyer. (Not really.)

Warwick Hotels & Resorts

International luxury hotel collection. 800+ pages.

Another large, challenging project. Collaborating with a brand focused on truly singular properties, I worked with 38 general managers to showcase each hotel’s highlights.

EZ Debride

Website copy for a new wound care surgical tool.

I learned a lot working with the surgeon who designed this tool—like what a wound debridement procedure is and how I hope I never, ever need one.

StemBioSys

Blogging engagement for a stem cell research company.

When you’re talking to MIT bioengineers about mesenchymal stem cells, you just have to embrace your own stupidity.

But I’m proud that I can distill complicated topics into something even I can understand.

20-page website for a Rock 'n' Roll-themed hotel in Boston.

I mixed in some of my favorite song lyrics and rock ‘n roll references to reflect the hotel’s vibe.

It was so fun to write, I should’ve paid them.

Pet Paradise Pet Resorts

Website copy for a national pet daycare and spa chain.

We didn’t have our dog when I worked on this. I remember thinking, “All this pampering for dogs?”

Then our girl came along. I get it now.

“Working with Patrick was an absolute pleasure. His ability to capture the essence of Caneel Bay Resort with such vivid, evocative language has truly elevated our marketing materials. His writing brought to life the beauty of our Caribbean beaches and the rich history of our property. We were thrilled with the results!”

Patrick Kidd
Director of Marketing
Caneel Bay Resort

I’ve been working with Patrick for more than 6 years during which time he has been reliable, thorough, and adaptable – a valuable asset to have on your side through the ups and downs of the hospitality world.

Most importantly, he is a talented writer who writes for many genres and styles – from conservative to edgy – while naturally incorporating keywords to enhance SEO results.”

How I got here…

I spent seven years as a video editor, writing scripts, crafting corporate videos, commercials, and political ads. But burnout hit, and I quit without a backup plan (not recommended).

A friend happened to mention that her hospitality marketing startup desperately needed a copywriter. I had a meeting with the creative director and got a trial assignment: writing copy for a Talladega hotel’s NASCAR package.

That was 20 years ago, and I’ve been writing ever since.
